Kaya McGee, ESq.

Kaya McGee serves as Of Counsel to August & Suchowski, PLLC, focusing her practice on probate, trust administration and litigation, and estate planning. She brings a broad legal background that enables her to guide clients through the legal, financial, and personal considerations that arise in planning for the future and administering an estate.

Prior to joining August & Suchowski, Kaya practiced in estate planning and probate litigation, where she assisted clients with developing estate plans and navigating disputes involving estates and trusts. During her time at that previous law firm, Kaya worked alongside August & Suchowski’s two founding partners, Elizabeth L. August and Michael Suchowski, in the firm’s probate and estates department. Through their work together, they built a strong team dynamic that they have carried forward to August & Suchowski, where they continue to collaborate effectively in serving their clients.

Kaya’s background also includes experience in family law, where she handled divorce proceedings and custody disputes. This experience strengthened her ability to navigate sensitive family dynamics, address competing interests, and develop practical solutions in emotionally challenging circumstances.

While in law school, Kaya served as a student attorney in the Community Economic Development Clinic, advising nonprofit organizations and small businesses on entity formation, regulatory compliance, and business development. She also interned with several law firms, gaining experience in administrative, regulatory, employment, and business law.
