FAQs
Straight answers to the questions that keep you up at night.
Yes. Your first consultation with August & Suchowski costs nothing, whether it happens by video or at our Wheat Ridge or Fort Collins office. We use it to understand your situation and tell you honestly whether you need an attorney at all. Some people leave that call and handle things themselves.
New inquiries to our Wheat Ridge or Fort Collins office get a response within one business day. Messages that come in over a weekend get answered the next business day. If you're facing a court deadline in the next few days, say so in the form, and we'll move you up.
Most of our clients handle their matter by video call and email. August & Suchowski offers virtual consultations for both probate and estate planning, which matters when you're managing an estate from out of state. Documents that require witnesses or a notary are the exception.
Nothing is required for a free consultation. If you have the will, a death certificate, or any letters from the court or a bank, having them nearby helps us answer more precisely. If you have none of that, we'll still get you a useful answer.
We accept matters from anywhere in Colorado. Most of our clients are along the Front Range, in Northern Colorado, Jefferson County, and nearby Denver neighborhoods. Probate is filed in the county where the person lived, so tell us that county on your first call. We'll confirm where your case belongs.
